This End Up!

The University of South Alabama Marx Library is pleased to present a new exhibit featuring the photographs of local photographer, Michele Brinkman. 鈥淭his End Up!鈥� will be on display from September 1 to October 31, 2016 in the first floor gallery of the Marx Library.

鈥淭his End Up!鈥� focuses on the visually stimulating and often mystifying quality of reflections. According to Brinkman, 鈥淩eflections surround us, whether in the mirror, a window, a shadow, or in the water - they are everywhere. But how often do we actually see them?! Several years ago,  after one of Mobile鈥檚 frequent summer showers, I was walking around downtown photographing.  I looked down and saw this amazing composition of the RSA tower in a huge puddle on Dauphin Street! Moving to the left, right or back, the composition changed. I was in total amazement of my new found discovery of puddles. Since then, I have been on a mission to encourage others to slow down and see the simple beauty found in reflections.鈥�
